Frets On Fire: Severed Fifth Edition - Transcribers Needed!

Postby jono » Tue Jun 08, 2010 3:07 am

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know about an exciting Severed Fifth community project to build an awesome Severed Fifth edition of the Frets On Fire game, which is a rather fantastic clone game of Guitar Hero.

The thing is, to make this a success we really need your help to transcribe the songs. Fortunately it is simple and you don't need to be a technical whiz. :-)

For all the details see http://www.severedfifth.com/2010/06/08/ ... rs-needed/

I hope some of you are keen to get involved!

Hey Jono, I'd like to transcribe(chart) War. Its by far your best song I've heard so far. I haven't done listening to the whole album yet but you're awesome.

Mind if I have the master tracks so that it would be easier to chart the song?

EDIT:And The Lake too. :)

EDIT: I changed my mind, The Lake and Edge of Design fits me more.

Hi aCROX999!

I have the master guitar recordings on a separate machine that is currently in storage. I will see if I can get them off tomorrow - can you get started with the MP3/Ogg until then?

Thanks for getting involved and helping! :-)

Alright, I'm gonna do Edge of Design and The Lake. Will start after I repaired my bicycle(LOL).

Oh, may I know the BPMs for Edge of Design and The Lake?

Thanks for setting up the thread, aCROX999. :-)

As for the BPMs, I don't know them off hand - they are also on the recording machine. Can you use the set BPM feature in the song editor to set this?

Thanks!

Yes I can and in fact, it does need to set the BPM or else the notes will go off sync. I mean beat-synched.

No problem, thanks for doing this.

For the second album I can provide all the master tracks and all the BPMs from the outset. :-)
